- Would you like to share your experiences and help raise awareness of musculoskeletal conditions?
This project aims to raise awareness of musculoskeletal conditions like arthritis, lupus and myositis by sharing your patient experience and using your expertise to design and produce products that may help those living with conditions similar to yours. Your experiences and contributions will feed in to a product design process between patients, designers and researchers. They will appear on this website and our Instagram project page #DesignforMSK. The designs and final products will appear in an exhibition as part of and exhibition in November 2016.
There are several ways to be involved in the project and you can choose which would suit you according to your location and availability.
We would like you to share images, video, text or tweets using the hashtag #DesignforMSK to describe or highlight some of the daily issues you may face as a young person living with a musculoskeletal condition. They can include disease-specific issues or could be used to describe what like if like on a daily basis as a young patient.
Your images, videos and Twitter contributions will feed in to a design process in Manchester between a small group of young patients, product designers and researchers. They will use the content of #DesignforMSK to discuss ideas, draw up initial designs and will work together to make products for yourselves as patients.

This work will be shown in an exhibition in Manchester. This will raise awareness of musculoskeletal conditions in young people and will showcase the final products and design ideas.
